Broken Template

So yeah, I've managed to break my individual archive template. I don't have time to figure out how. Please be patient over what will probably be the next few days as I figure it out and get it back up and working. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Looks to me like the sidebar is what you might need.

I keep meaning to clean up my templates and make my site more useable, but real life keeps getting in the way. And posting is more fun.

So, my blog just hobbles along as is. :)

We need to invent a word for template woes in your blog. Let's see... maltemplification? templosis?

Templavoid? Nullplate?

Errors occured due to a nullplate. Once the templavoid is resolved, things should progress smoothly.

Well, I got some of the damage repaired. I think the individual archve template is working on some of the archive pages. However, because of a server issue (it refuses to rebuild all of my archives) I can't force the changes to propogate through everything. Un the upside, I implemented something I've wanted to do for a while: I've eliminated the comment window pop-up. This should make for a better experience. Let me know what you think.

James, I always have good intentions when dealing with my templates, and most of the time they only get dealt with half assed. It's a lot of work and when the server isn't co-operating it's a big pain, and you're right: a lot of the time real life gets in the way.

If templosis sticks, it wouldn't be the first word to be invented in my blog. Do a search in google for Qwerticular Facies Markitus. Heh. Geeks are cool.

Jasmeet - I purposely removed the nav bar originally, hoping that it would fix the problem. It didn't. Someone else suggested through IM that it may have been an unclosed div. I'm not quite sure what I did that fixed it, as I started fresh, but I bet the unclosed tag was the problem. You use templates linked to files, right? How does that work for you? What editors do you use? What triggers rebuilding? Is it easier than working in the template form within MT?

Everything I do is within MT itself. When it comes to rebuilding, everything is basically rebuilt. Its a real slow process, but if I don't need the individual archives rebuilt, then I take off the option. I'm not sure if I'm following your questions right, so IM me if this answer makes no sense to you =)
